Data transmission and industrial bus cables

IMC data transmission cables are designed for serial interfaces, industrial bus networks, electronic systems and communication connections in production environments. Twisted pair geometries, low-capacitance insulation and shielding options help reduce attenuation, crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. Performance is evaluated based on protocol, link length, operating frequency and installation conditions.

Construction and Technological Features

Optimized Geometries (Standard and Twisted Pair)
The range includes parallel conductor solutions for standard signalling and twisted pair (TP) configurations. Consistent lay lengths across internal conductors are essential to reduce crosstalk—mutual interference between channels within the same cable—ensuring clean signal transmission.

Low-Capacitance Insulation
Alongside standard PVC compounds, IMC utilizes Polyethylene (PE) insulation, such as in Li2YCY cables. This technology drastically reduces mutual capacitance, minimizing signal attenuation and enabling high-speed data transmission over long distances.

Interference Protection (EMC)
To operate safely near power lines, inverters or motors, data cables are equipped with high-efficiency shielding systems. Options featuring aluminum/polyester tape, high-coverage bare/tinned copper braid, or combined shielding effectively block electromagnetic (EMI) and radio frequency (RFI) interference.

Main Fields of Application

Electronics and Control Panels
Interconnection of electronic boards, industrial PCs, peripherals and internal wiring inside control cabinets.

Control and Measurement Systems
Connection of weighing equipment, assembly lines, complex sensors and process circuits.

Communication Networks and Bus Systems
Connection lines for serial interfaces (RS-485, RS-422, RS-232) and standard industrial bus protocols (such as Profibus and CANopen).

Safety Standards and Sheathing Options

Cables in this section are identified internally using the DIN 47100 international color code or compliant with other reference standards, simplifying installation and maintenance while minimizing the risk of wiring errors. The outer sheaths provide flexibility, easy stripping and self-extinguishing properties. They are available in oil-resistant PVC for industrial environments as well as LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) compounds for maximum safety of personnel and equipment in the event of fire.
